The piles of books were getting bigger and bigger so I bought a cheap bookshelf from Target to hold them all. Steve and his assistant Luke put it together for me.

February snowstorm
The last Friday in February we had a big snow storm. I decided to take a snow day and of course, Steve had one so we had some family fun time. I still had my friend's macro lens so I decided to go outside and have some fun.
I seriously need a macro lens. Anyone want to buy me one?

Cruise - part 3
After the beach in Freeport - we went to the kiddie pool on the ship since it was finally open and warm enough. Luke had fun there and since we were near the slide, a few kids came in and splashed around with him.
Later that night at dinner - Luke and I were styling...
we had a cake delivered for Aunt Mimi's birthday. Think she was surprised?
The cake was super yummy!
We had a fantastic waiter who always took care of Luke but Luke was not happy about taking a picture with him that night.
The next night we had cake for Luke and sang for him.
The checkout process was fairly smooth - thank God for portable dvd players again b/c it kept Luke and Aidan entertained:
The cruise was so much fun to go away with everyone - it was a bit exhausting with a 2 year old and I'm not sure that we'll go on another until he is no longer napping but it was great to be with our fantastic family for a week. here are some random pics from the trip:
That's us up on stage - it was a family feud type game - I don't remember if we won or not but when faced with the category of things you only use once, don't answer "coffin" like I did. ;-)
Hey...we got medals anyway!
Thanks to Nanny for sharing her pictures with me!

Aunt Mimi's birthday cruise - part 2
We had so much fun at dinner time. I was worried that everyone wouldn't want to eat all together but since I knew that we wouldn't see each other much during the day hoped that I was wrong. I think that was only a night or two where we didn't all eat together. A few nights the waitstaff would dance for us or put on a show. One night they danced to this song from Slumdog Millionaire. And Uncle Jim joined in:
So the next day we were in Nassau Bahamas - Stevo and I honeymooned there and had been there on another cruise so we stayed on the ship most of the day. It was still quite cold outside and the pool was freezing so I made Stevo and Nanny go in with Luke:
While in the Bahamas, we saw many huge yachts...this one is owned by some Russian ba-zillionaire (I googled it). Someday I'll have one just like it, right?
We did eventually get off the boat and managed to see everyone from our group off the ship. I got Luke a pair of Havianas and some cute earrings for myself and then it was back on for some more hanging out.
Luke enjoyed an ice cream cone after that:
The next day we were in Freeport Bahamas where it was finally warm enough to wear shorts - woo hoo! We took a hellish ride taxi drive to a hotel and sat on the beach for a while. It was nice to finally get to some sand and water and not have to wear a sweatshirt.
I bought an alligator from one of the market vendors - turns out it bites. Luke got his finger pinched in it so we are keeping it away from him for a while:
